Conference venue
The conference will take place on the campus "Les Cordeliers" of Sorbonne Université, located at 15, rue de l'Ecole de Médecine, 75006 Paris. It is in the heart of the Latin Quarter, close to the old building of Sorbonne.
The scientific sessions will take place in the lecture room "Amphi Bilsky-Pasquier", coffee breaks and buffet-lunches will take place in the room "Marie Curie". A welcome reception with registration of participants will be organised on Sunday July 9th, 2023, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on the campus "Les Cordeliers", in the room "Marie Curie". There are several train stations connecting Paris to european cities: Gare du Nord for Britain, Belgium and The Netherlands, Gare de l'Est for Germany and Austria, gare de Lyon for Italy, Gare d'Austerlitz for Spain etc. Within the city The campus of "Les Cordeliers" is located in the heart of the Latin Quarter of Paris, at a few minute - walk from the main building of Sorbonne University. The closest metro station is "Odéon" (metro lines M4 and M10), or "Luxembourg" (RER B), or Saint-Michel Notre-Dame (RER B and RER C). Several bus lines have stops close by: 21, 27, 38 (Saint-Michel side), 63, 86, 87 (Odéon side) Accomodation (Cf the official website of the convention and visitors bureau of Paris) https://en.parisinfo.com/where-to-sleep-in-paris Hotels are expensive in the centre of Paris. It is the case of the 5e and 6e districts, close to the conference location. However, more choices are available if you accept to move away from the conference location. Paris has a dense metro-bus network that allows you to stay at some distances. The 13e, 14e and 15e districts on the left bank of the Seine river are just a little further and are pleasant and safe areas. You may try around the Paris Observatory (Place Denfert-Rochereau or the Montparnasse train station, almost at walking distance). There are several big chain hotels close to Porte d'Orléans (on the M4 metro line or by the N°38 bus). The student residence Cité Universitaire Internationale is on the RER B line linked to Saint-Michel Notre-Dame station. They offer some possibilities for student or visiting scientists for short stays. You have to apply online: https://www.ciup.fr/en/ Rooms may be available at an international residential centre in the 14th district, FIAP, 30, rue Cabanis, 75014 Paris. It is close to a bus stop N° 21 going to Place Odeon, close to the conference site. It is at 10minute walk from the RER B station Denfert-Rochereau. They have rooms at reasonable prices. Please make reservation online : https://www.fiap.paris/ New: A few student rooms at the ENS (Bd Jourdan or Montrouge) with shower in the bedroom and toilet on the landing may be available at low prices. Please contact us. Registration and fees (Updated!) Participants are welcome to register from March 15th to June 25th 2023 on the page "Registration". Once registered, participants should proceed to payment on the page "Payment" by following the instructions given on the page. The registration fees include coffee breaks, four lunches, the reception on Sunday July 9th evening and the conference dinner on Wednesday July 12th 2023. Registration fees : Regular participant: 380€ TTC before May 15th, 450€ TTC after May 15th, 2023 Student (justification required): 200€ TTC before May 15th, 250€ TTC after May 15th, 2023 Accompanying person (reception+conf. dinner): 130€ TTC before May 15th, 150€ TTC after May 15th, 2023 !!!
